Located near a busy corner in the eclectic Preston Hollow neighborhood of Dallas, the owners sought to build a light-filled, tranquil family home where they could display their artwork. The resulting treehouse is a 5,800 square foot residence that frames the site’s many live oak trees. Reinforced with double thick insulated walls and clad with brick, external noises are blocked while the home’s north and south orientation brings in natural light at all hours of the day. A highly textured reclaimed pine floor brings a sense of place and history to the Urban Treehouse’s interior.
