This urban artist’s retreat was designed to allow the resident artist to work alongside nature with an abundance of natural light. The inwardly focused campus was pushed to the back of the lot to allow the artist to get as close to nature as possible within the confines of a large urban setting. The meandering footprint of the home smoothly transitions through separate spaces but all flow seamlessly to create a new outdoor experience in each location.
