DEMESNE was named to LUXE Magazine\u2019s 2018 Gold List <\/strong><\/p>\n

From established talents to rising stars, the 2018 LUXE Gold List celebrates creators of the inspirational homes featured within the publication\u2019s pages\u2014the architects, interior designers, builders, and landscape architects that shape the vision of a home. DEMESNE was featured in the July\/August 2017 issue of Colorado LUXE<\/a> for its innovative work on Aspen\u2019s Hecht Residence.<\/a> The home, built in the 1960s, and renovated with an Arts and Crafts style in the 1990s, was given a modern, simplified design by Richard Mullen of DEMESNE, who handled the interior architecture.<\/p>\n<\/div>

\u201cThe house was modern to start with, and we wanted to pay homage to that original vocabulary,\u201d says Mullen. \u201cWe did that through exposing the original, heavy timber pyramidal structure, and removing years of decorative applique. We ended up with a finished project that caters to the client\u2019s current lifestyle, reflected in the updated kitchen, bathrooms, a new modern fireplace, and a warm color palate.\u201d<\/p>\n
