Over the past decade, the Fredericksburg, Texas area has seen a growing number of vineyards and wineries developed to create the newfound Texas Wine Country. The Foyt family, best known for their Indycar racing team, has been making award-winning wine in Sebastopol, CA for two decades. As Texas is their home state, the Foyt family decided to create an estate winery to showcase their wines and also serve as a museum to display the immense collection of racing memorabilia from their team and patriarch, A.J. Foyt. We designed a series of structures to blend the rural Fredericksburg landscape with a more refined and upscale experience than what currently exists in the Texas Wine Country. The all metal clad exterior is a very agrarian structure, and the clean white oak interior is a refreshing retreat from the Texas heat.\u00a0 The buildings were master planned to maximize views of the countryside, and to be added on over time to allow for the development of an events venue and future hospitality destination.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
