Originally built by an artist as a voluminous studio and workshop, this project required transforming the existing structure into an elegant and functional five-bedroom family home. The original studio included materials from a historic East Coast barnhouse, which we chose to preserve in the remodel and highlight in the great room and exterior of the home. We brought in the surrounding hillside views by drastically increasing fenestration and adding a porch and outdoor room to extend the living space in the summer months. The rustic exterior is a delightful contrast to the elegant and modern interior of the home.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
